Counselor, Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Friend, Mentor, Volunteer, Educator, Student,

I decided to specialize in anxiety as it is a struggle I have battled for decades.  I found the practices that were successful for me and I want to teach others what I have learned and offer a break from the chains of worry.

Evidence-Based Treatment

I am committed to providing evidence-based treatment for those suffering from anxiety, OCD and related disorders.

I am certified in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety and have trained with some of the field's leading practitioners.

I completed specialized training in ERP (Exposure / Response prevention) for OCD from the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and I-CBT (Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

I have also been trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) through Yale's Child Studies Center.

I am an active member of the IOCDF, the ADAA - where I was honored  as an awardee of the Career Development Leadership Program in 2018, and ICBT.Online.

Most recently, I completed Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy certification training from the Integrative Psychiatric Institute and offer integration support for IV-Ketamine Infusions.

Keeping up with the best practices for treating my clients is the most important part of my job.

Background on me:

I worked in the corporate world for 15+ years and have a good understanding of the pressures of work and the importance of balancing a career with real life.

I had a marriage dissolve after 17 years and experienced; first-hand, how to raise two kids as a single parent.

I now have adult children and have watched them grow and be challenged by life and I completely get what those growing pains are like.

I changed careers later in life and have a unique perspective for the challenges of creating new opportunities for oneself as well.

I am currently remarried and reaping the benefits of my learnings over the years.

I am an approved clinical supervisor in both Kansas and Missouri.

Owner

Specialties: adults 18+, yoga, ADHD, personal growth and development, identity development, life transitions

Welcome! My name is Cherish, and I'm not your typical therapist. Why? Well, because I too am on this ADHD rollercoaster . Yup, that's right—I'm not just the guide; I'm on the ride with you!

Sometimes, it's like juggling Jell-O, but I've learned to turn that chaos into my own kind of masterpiece. I'm all too familiar with those days when focus is just a mythical creature, and impulse control takes a vacation. But hey, isn't that the beauty of it?? I've been there, and I'm still here, thriving.

Navigating life with ADHD is like trying to play Jenga blindfolded. The struggles are real—procrastination, time blindness, the paralysis, and not to mention the never-ending battle that is organization. You can't just Google "How to Adult with ADHD," but you can have someone by your side who's been there, stumbled, and found their way.

The ADHD Struggles Neurotypicals Don't Get

Ever tried explaining the literal paralysis from constant overwhelm? Or the struggle of remembering where you put your keys for the hundredth time? It's not just forgetfulness; it's a daily adventure. What about explaining your lack of motivation as a symptom rather than a character flaw? Neurotypicals might raise an eyebrow, but I nod knowingly. ADHD is not just about attention; it's about navigating a world that was not built for you, that sometimes feels like it's set on fast-forward. Other times, it's about navigating a world when you are set on fast-forward.

Therapy with someone who's danced with ADHD is like having a compass in uncharted territory. I get the frustration. I get the overwhelm. But I also get the brilliance that comes with it! Together, we'll find strategies that actually work for you and your life, not just some textbook solution. It's a collaboration, not a lecture. Could you imagine - a lecture on a rollercoaster?!

So, if you're tired of the one-size-fits-all advice and ready for a therapist who speaks your language (even if it's in a bit of a scatterbrained dialect), let's chat. Because life with ADHD is an epic journey, and having a fellow traveler by your side who truly gets it, can make all the difference. Let's turn those ADHD quirks into superpowers and build a life that's uniquely yours.

For Those Without an ADHD Diagnosis: Because Struggles Unite Us

If you're cruising through life without an ADHD diagnosis but still find yourself grappling with the same stuff or just itching for some personal growth, you're in good company! Life's a wild ride, and whether it's dodging daily curveballs or diving into the adventure of discovering who you really are, I've got your back. Our journey isn't confined to labels; it's about understanding and growing together. Let's start a journey that's uniquely yours. We'll navigate the challenges, celebrate the wins, and build a life that resonates with you. ADHD or not, we're all in this together, figuring out the beautiful chaos of life. Let's chat about the possibilities, turn those struggles into strengths and get you on track to a more kick-ass and authentic version of yourself.

Sandee Meyer, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Specialties: adults 18+

Hi, I’m Sandee,  PMHNP, Mental Health Advocate, and Fellow Human Navigating Life’s Twists and Turns.

I’m here to help adults (18+) take charge of their mental health and thrive, whether you’re managing anxiety, OCD, or ADHD.

Evidence-Based Treatment

My approach is evidence-based medication management paired with a lot of empathy and zero judgment.

Why mental health? Because I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to navigate the daily challenges of these conditions—whether it’s trying to focus when your brain feels like a web browser with 1,000 tabs open, managing endless worry spirals, or finding balance when life gets chaotic. My job isn’t just to prescribe solutions; it’s to be a partner in your journey toward clarity, calm, and control.

What working with me looks like:

  • A compassionate, collaborative space where your goals come first.

  • A personalized approach rooted in research yet created for you —no cookie-cutter plans here.

  • Strategies that work for you, not just work in theory.

Background on me:

I’ve spent years diving deep into mental health, first as a nurse and now as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Outside of work, I’m passionate about connecting with others, exploring creativity, and finding joy in the little things. My personal philosophy? Life’s challenges might shape us, but they don’t define us.

If you’re ready to take the next step in managing your mental health, I’m here to help! Let’s work together to create a life that feels more balanced, more manageable, and a lot more you.
