Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Understanding ADHD

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition affecting attention, impulse control, and executive functioning. It presents in different ways, including difficulty with focus, organization, time management, and emotional regulation, often leading to challenges in daily life. While commonly diagnosed in childhood, ADHD also affects adults, sometimes manifesting as chronic procrastination, overwhelm, or struggles with task initiation and follow-through. ADHD is not a lack of intelligence or effort but rather a difference in how the brain processes information and regulates attention.

We work together to create tailored strategies for improving focus, organization, emotional regulation, and executive functioning. Skills groups and psychoeducation may offer practical tools to navigate daily challenges, while therapy helps address the emotional impact of ADHD, such as anxiety, self-doubt, and overwhelm. Whether you're seeking structure, coping strategies, or a deeper understanding of your ADHD, we’re here to help you thrive.
